These pictures were all pulled as stills from the video camera. Consequently, they're kind of grainy.

Opposite side of the same gate. You can tell which way the wind was blowing. (Those leaves are piled up outside.)

This sweetgum tree is the one we were most afraid of during the storm. The trees in the front yard are about half again as tall as the house. They could have fallen and leaned on it, but this guy... He's probably twice the height of the house or more, and he could have crushed a room. Fortunately, the wind was blowing him away from the house, and the tree stood the blast remarkably well. Some big branches did come off, though. If you've been in our backyard, you have some idea of how long those limbs are that are leaning against the trunk.
The shed stood up like a trooper! Aside from the one leg, it doesn't look much different. That's amazing. We really thought it would sale away.
This picture is totally unrelated to the storm, but the maniac expression on Rhett's face SO accurately illustrates the cat's attitude to the whole thing. :-D
Street in Lake Wales. They caught it a lot worse than we did. All the following pics are from Lake Wales. Many of these are taken out the car window.
Typical yard full of big trees. :'-(
That huge limb is resting on someone's chimney.
You can't see it very well, but this guy ripped out a big chunk of parking lot around his roots as he came down.
Sign on the Spook Hill Elementary school. Yes, this did all happen on Friday the 13th. :-)
