Walk Upon High

Talis is an 18 year old wolfling mercenary who came to the mountains to fight for the pegasus riders in their struggle against the griffin riders. During her training, Talis is captivated by a beautiful jungle stallion, Exus, who flies with reckless skill. Exus is a bitter, disillusioned pegasus who hates riders and has no interest in Talis. To his consternation, they form a bond, which he continues to resist. Meanwhile, Talis becomes increasingly entangled in the cloak and dagger politics of her adopted nation. When everything falls apart, Talis and Exus must work together to save the pegasus riders from the traitor at the heart of their government.

Updates

--I sold a short story called "Blood of the Dawn" to Beyond Centauri, a sci/fi magazine for readers 9-18. The story features the main characters from Walk Upon High about a year after the events in Walk. It will appear in issue #20 in April 2008.

--I completed the first draft of his book in 2003. I will probably redraft it sometime in 2008-09.
